Knocked Down by Nikki Ash
Review by Allyson “I feel like I’ve been knocked down on my ass.” This is a fantastic raw and surreal contemporary romance that Nikki Ash brings authentic, feel-good relations into her latest novel, Knocked Down and I devoured it up in one sitting. I was immensely entertained with this standalone. From the loveable chemistry between a single dad and a spitfire neighbor to the under-current themes throughout the book, I was lost within moments of the first chapter. Cheated on twice, the heart can’t take any more. Ava is happy now with her dog, Maverick, her job and her Passion Kisses parties on the side. New neighbors have moved in next door and her heart is elated to find a hunk of a man and his 8 year old son, Levi. But can she take on another heartbreak, another go of ‘possible’ love all to be torn apart again? And my guard is up because there’s no way I can let him in. I would never survive it. You will want to eat tacos by the time this book is finished! The friendship that begins between Ava and Levi is sweet, spectacular, and just a joy. Then add on the dynamic of Griffin with Ava...simply perfection on Ash’s part. This story will have you smiling, swooning and loving every word that is written by the end. “Taco Tuesdays are definitely my favorite day of the week.” I wonder what your favorite scene will be when you pick up your copy today? Is it Levi’s sword fighting scene… cause that my friends will have you folding over with laughter! And it just goes to show how real Ash’s magnitude of writing is. **ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**
