Private Prick by Ember Cole
Review by Allyson Private Prick by Ember Cole was a fast, short read that can be demolished in a couple of hours. I enjoyed Stiff Discipline, the first novel which involves Adam’s father and Kymber, however in this second installment I was less than thrilled. Don’t get me wrong, Ember brought out the hot and heavy in multiple scenes, but I felt there was not enough punch in the plot. I didn’t understand fully how the title played into the story as Adam is not a “Private” (four years in the military would make you at least a sergeant) and I didn’t get the impression he was a private person… nor was he a “Prick”. He was sweet as can be, the all-American male gentleman that the Colonel raised him to be. But with that said, the storyline is cute, inner turmoils are overcome and the erotic scenes were very steamy. “--the chemistry between us is way beyond nice. It’s explosive. It’s raw and passionate and delicious and everything I ever wanted.” Adam and Bekka have known each other in passing and now come together in a little predicament. To take each others minds off the situation they find themselves in, the heat escalates and they wonder where do they go from there. Overall, I look forward to the next book, Unlawful Entry as even Private Prick will not prevent me to continue on with Ember’s writing. I only hope it has a little more substance than this one. **ARC provided by the author for an honest review**
