Good Little Girls by Rita Herron

Review by Amy The second book in The Keepers series is a suspenseful look at a woman dealing with PTSD and agoraphobia. Good Little Girlswas my first time reading Rita Herron, and even though it was the second book in the series, it was readable as a standalone. Of course, there is an advantage to reading the first book because it is closely related to the happenings in the second, but the author does a good job of filling in blanks with flashbacks. I didn’t feel as though I was missing much as far as the storyline went, but I am sure building a connection with the characters would be easier if you read the series from the beginning. Tinsley is living in a secluded cabin after being rescued from a demented serial killer. Unfortunately at the end of the first book, he got away, so she spends every day in fear for her life. Tinsley has come to rely heavily on Wyatt, the detective who saved her life. Tinsley begins to see her abductor lurking outside her house, and Wyatt is not sure if its her imagination and fear, or if he is legitimately back and stalking her. Things get more and more tense as the threats steadily increase. Is Tinsley’s life still in danger and will Wyatt be able to crack the case and put the attacker away for good? I am a huge thriller and suspense fan. This book fit the bill. It was dark, terrifying and anxiety-ridden. It had some content that was difficult to read, and had plenty of surprise twists. There were some romantical emotions thrown in, and plenty of turmoil and secrets. This book legitimately covered the range of emotions. While I felt the book had a steady pace and kept me pushing through to the end, there was something about the way it ended that felt just a little too easy. There were twists, but everything seemed to fall into place in a way that felt a little deflating after all the build up. I still really enjoyed it and would recommend it, but for that reason, I lowered my rating by one star. Still a solid 4 star read, this one is worth picking up. **ARC provide by author for honest review**
