Deep Cover by Scarlett Cole
Review by Sue Deep Cover by Scarlett Cole is a slow, sweet burn of a book. It is an engaging story told in dual POV. Cabe Moss, former SEAL is on a mission to bring down a Russian syndicate. Amy Murray, FBI, goes undercover as a casino dealer to expose a human trafficking ring. The sparks fly when they meet in a bar. But, Amy is somewhat slighted after Cabe takes off without notice. The next day, they realize they are both part of a joint task force and must work together. Will they risk everything they are working towards to be together? Cabe was a phenomenal character. He felt real. His kindness, loyalty, sexuality and take-charge attitude just did it for me. One of the sexiest alpha males written. Amy is strong and independent. She simply wants to prove herself and she does that without a doubt. She has a brilliant mind for counting cards and for remembering things. I loved getting an inside look into the casino world and how it works. It was very interesting for me. This is the third book in a series and although it can be read as a standalone, I believe reading them in order is the way to go. The relationships and the story itself seems like it evolves through all three books. This was an overall good read with an intriguing story line. Recommended to those who like their men HOT and the slow burn of a passionate relationship unfolding. **ARC provided for honest review**
