Midlife Crisis by L.B. Dunbar

Review by Elizabeth After finishing I was super excited to get my hands on L.B. Dunbar's next over 40 romance, Midlife Crisis. Hank is working at a crisis hotline after hitting rock bottom years ago. Midge is a single mother of three who moved to California with her husband but ended up getting divorced. I got the impression from Hank that he was not over “the love of his life”, Kit, who had passed away. It made it a little hard to believe that he wanted to date anyone let alone Midge. Midge is a single mother of three boys, who strikes me as insecure and unable to say the word no. She seems to have trouble connecting with people, but eventually she finds herself. I loved After Care and that's why it pains me to say that Midlife Crisis fell short for me. I had a hard time connecting with both of these main characters. L.B. Dunbar is a talented author and I encourage everyone to give her books a shot. Even though I didn't connect with Hank and Midge, I am looking forward to reading more of L.B.'s work. **Copy provided for honest review**
