Review by Nancy Shimmy Bang Sparkle by Nicola Rendell is a humorous, delightful, thrilling read. I earnestly enjoyed reading this book. I was expecting a lot more thrill and less wit, but nonetheless it was a great story! A very unexpected well received story. Nick and Stella are a match made in heist heaven. Just when Nick, a reformed jewelry thief, decides to stay on the straight and narrow he meets Stella. Stella is your modern day Robin Hood, also a member of the Shimmy Shimmy Bangs, a gang of jewel thieves. There is no wonder why Nick and Stella were absolutely meant for each other. The dynamic between our two leading characters made for a lot of witty banter and sexy scenes. Falling in love was not part of the plan, if anything it would complicate things for both of them. But the more time Nick and Stella spent together the harder it was to fight the feelings growing between them. I loved the flow of the book. Despite the book being comedic, at times, there was a good balance of emotions. Between planning a heist and falling in love we get to experience an emotional and fulfilling love story.
