Hard Sell by Lauren Layne
Review by Nancy Hard Sell by Lauren Layne is the second book in the 21 Wall Street series, it is a humorous, sizzling enemies to lovers. A very entertaining read! I was anticipating Matt and Sabrina’s story based on the little glimpse we got in Hot Asset, book one in the series. I am happy to report this book was just as wonderful as the first. Matt is one of the youngest, most successful men in his field, but after making headlines for his night at a bachelor party, the job he has worked so hard for is being threatened. Now he finds himself in a bind and needing to clean up his act. With the encouragement of his closest friends, he decides to call the “fixer”, the woman who can fix just about anything. The only problem: they hate each other. Sabrina has made quite the name for herself, she is the most sought out woman by those who need something fixed. When Matt comes knocking at her door needing her services, she immediately refuses. They might have fun hooking up, but they can’t stand each other. There is no way faking a relationship is going to end well for either of them, but Matt needs to demonstrate to his bosses that he can hold a stable relationship. Sabrina can’t deny him, so for the time being she will help clean up his mess. What was supposed to only be a fake relationship quickly turns into real feelings and real heartache. As they dig into their past and open up, their relationship quickly morphs from hate to love. I enjoyed following along as their relationship blossomed. Layne did an amazing job developing these characters and their love. It was a marvelous story with some even greater characters. I can not wait for book three! **ARC provided for honest review**
