Verona Blood by Lili St. Germain

Review by Amy W. I have been wanting to read Verona Blood for quite awhile. It is one of those books I eyeballed but was unsure whether to give it a chance or not. Let me just say this is exactly my kind of read and Lili St. Germain has a new fan. I really don't know what to say about the plot, read the blurb. It's hard to really say anything without giving away something, even though I am still trying to figure out what exactly is going on with these characters and who is behind the kidnapping. In case you don't know this ends on a major cliffhanger and I am beyond anxious to read what happens next. I have never read a dark and twisted retelling of Romeo and Juliet before, but I really enjoyed it. Much more than I thought I would. (I don't particularly like reading Shakespeare, give me the play or movie any day) I don't think that I really like any of the characters, if I had to choose though I would have to say Rome. Absolutely none of them are trustworthy and I'm a bit scared to see who is involved in what when all is said and done. Desperately waiting for book two to hit my kindle so I can get some answers. **Copy provided for honest review**
