Review by Morgen Immortal Danger by Cynthia Eden is the first book in the Night Watch series. This book is about family and loyalty. Maya Black is a detective for hire. She was a police officer until one night she was turned against her will. She’s learned to trust no one. Now she is focused on work and surviving this supernatural world she now finds herself in. She is fiercely loyal, protective, and independent. Adam Brody is a man full of mystery. His niece is taken and he’s had no luck in finding her and no clue as to where she could possibly be. He is confident, stern, attractive, and all alpha. Adam seeks out Maya in hopes she may be the one able to find his niece, Cammie. He catches up to her in a feeding room, and asks for her services. They make terms and set a price, the deal is made. Before they start the hunt she has a few errands to run but he won’t let her out of his sight until he gets Cammie. They have an almost instant connection that starts small but builds over time. Part of the payment they agreed to was blood. Will she be able to stop after the first taste? Once the blood connection is made their bodies aren’t just drawn to each other, it becomes a primal need. When one touch leads to another and their passion takes over will it be easy to separate the job from the lust taking over all their instincts. They follow leads and race against time and deceit to save Cammie. Can they trust each other enough to pull off a win? One of the things I enjoyed most was that there was more than one POV. It is mostly the two main characters but there are also side characters sprinkled in when relevent to the storyline. It gives a better sense of what is going on in intense scenes and is done seemlessly. I love reading about vampires and this added a little mystery and twist to the average vampire story. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. It kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I would reccomend this to anyone who enjoys vampires or supernatural romances, it has action mixed in to keep things interesting too. **ARC provided for an honest review**
