Beauty's War by Anna Edwards and Claire Marta
Review by Amy W. Anna Edwards and Claire Marta team up and give one of my favorite subjects a new spin. Beauty's War gives Roman mythology a modern twist. Mars is the God of War. His family is in search of the human Gods, or the Gods that have been reborn and are missing. The problem is they aren't the only ones searching. Vicky is a tourist in Rome whose vacation takes a deadly turn after meeting the dark and handsome Mars. Gods are just myths right? Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! I love mythology, it's my guilty pleasure. I'm even taking a class on Roman and Greek mythology this fall. I was super excited to read a twist on mythology that I hadn't seen overdone again and again, and Anna and Claire delivered. Mars is so freaking hot!! I was drawn into the story because of him. Then when Vicky comes along... that eye contact when they first meet, oh holy hell. I want that!!! This was such a fun and dark read. That sounds contradictory to say, but that's what it is. And choosing the God of War as one of the first introduced in this world, you ladies get me. I cannot wait to be able to visit this world again. **ARC provided for an honest review**
