Beast by SC Daiko
Review by Sue Beast by SC Daiko was crazy sexy and gripping from the get-go and had a little bit of action and mystery peppered in. Eva and Gleb met two years ago when they had a sexy and passionate one-night stand. Now, Eva has been sold by her very own father to Gleb to pay off a debt owed. But Eva has a secret she does not want him to know. Gleb is a demanding beast of a man. Due to circumstance, he has to be. When he accepts Eva to pay off a debt owed to him by her father, he has no idea how human he is about to become. Will this beauty be able to tame the beast? Beast had a fast pace, but it tapered around mid-way though as the major conflict, in my opinion, had been resolved. The remaining story after that felt a little like tying off loose ends. The intimate scenes were sexy and sizzling but I felt like the balance was off between the story itself and the love scenes. Although my opinion is in the minority, I feel the abundance of these scenes detracted from character development and plot. That is not to say it was not well done because it was. Rather that it could have delved deeper with the characters and plot and created an exceptional story versus an okay one. With all that being said, I did enjoy the story immensely and would recommend it to anyone who loves a downright sexy read. **ARC provided for an honest review**
