Heathens by Natalie Bennett
Review by Amy W. Natalie Bennett's Badlands series comes to an end, and oh what a way to go. Heathens is bloody, violent and full of debauchery. This series was a dark ride through the eyes of the depraved and I loved every minute! In the end, I was simply a blue-haired girl who fell deeply in love with a redheaded heathen. Cobra finally gets his girl, but not until they've both gone through hell. Blue was offered to the enemy in a crazy twisted form of an alliance. But in true Savage fashion nothing is what it seems. When these two are finally reunited blood spurts and lust sparks. I knew a man like me was toxic for a woman like her, but that didn't stop me from wanting to drag her ass over to the dark side. The pain that Cobra hides is extensive. He owes his life to his brothers, Rome and Grim, and his loyalty knows no bounds. Blue has had an equally tormented upbringing, but Cobra shows her that surviving doesn't mean that you are dirty. And so what if you are. I felt for the both of them, but was so glad they had each other to not heal the pain, but to walk in the darkness together. "So what happens after I tell you that I'm kinda obsessed with your strand of sickness?" Reading Heathens was bittersweet. It was the end of one of my favorite series ever, but Natalie Bennett didn't leave me to mourn the loss of these Savages for long. The next generation is coming next year!!!! I will be waiting, stalking for any crumb of what is to come. **ARC provided for an honest review**
