Best Served Cold by Emma Hart

Review by Nancy Charming, witty, and entertaining, Best Served Cold is another great book by Emma Hart. A second chance, enemies to lovers romance that had me laughing out loud more often than not. Raelynn is the best when it comes to making ice cream, but she is struggling to keep her family’s ice cream shop afloat. Her ex boyfriend, Chase, has not only opened up an ice cream shop next door to hers but did it with the ideas he stole from her. When Raelynn finally decides to do something about her struggling business, Chase comes knocking on her door with the help she desperately needs. What is she to do? She can’t get past the anger and resentment she still feels and wants to kick him to the curb, but she craves the closeness of the man she once loved. Working with him is just asking for trouble. Chase didn’t think things through when he opened shop next to Raelynn. He was hurt and heartbroken after she left him without giving him a reason. Although his intentions were to get closer to her, all his shop did was cause Raelynn to avoid him at all cost. When he notices she is renovating her shop, he sees an opening and jumps at the opportunity to help. Now, he is finally making some sort of progress and despite Raelynn’s resistance to his help, he is willing to do whatever it takes to get his girl back. Humorous and sweet, Best Served Cold, was a very enjoyable read! Raelynn wants revenge for Chase stealing her ideas. She is on a mission to run him out of business, until she starts spending time with him, then it hits her like a flight train - she had fallen in love with him for a reason, and time hasn’t changed the love they have for each other. All it took was a little closeness, and forgiveness to bring them together again. **ARC provided for an honest review**
