Kick by Ali Dean

Review by Morgen Kick by Ali Dean is a Sparks Sisters novel but can be read as a standalone. It’s main themes are being confident in what makes you happy and letting go of the past. Lydia “Kick” Spark is addicted to falling in love but doesn’t think she’s the kind of girl guys get into relationships with. She’s sassy and independent. Jack “King” Kingston is a musician with all the confidence that follows. He’s charming and sweet. They meet by chance one evening and their connection is instant but, they are each looking for something different from their encounter. When they keep bumping into each other they can’t deny the feelings brewing beneath the surface. When they give into their desire can they handle the repercussions? I liked getting to know the characters. The story unravels at a quick pace and kept me interested from the start. Their emotions felt real and gripping. The story flowed well and felt natural. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and their witty banter was always entertaining. A fun and entertaining read if you enjoy a bit of angst with your passion. **ARC provided for an honest review**
