Lionheart (Moonshadow, #3) by Thea Harrison
Review by Nancy Magical, entertaining and compelling Lionheart by Thea Harrison is a great PNR romance! It is the third installment in the Moonshadow series but can be read as a standalone. I will say as someone who did not read the first two books, I recommend you do. As much as I enjoyed the book, there were times I felt like I cheated myself out of an even greater experience. Dr. Shaw, a trauma surgeon, is one of my favorite heroines. A magical healer, she is strong, intelligent, brave and stubborn. She holds her own and stands her ground. Being the best at what she does, she is recruited to try and save King Oberon from himself and the poison coursing through his body. King Oberon was once a beloved king, someone the people loved and looked up to. Until his heart is poisoned and he begins to destroy everything around him. Now, the only way he can protect those around him is to go into a deep sleep. His only chance at reverting back to the king he once was, lies with Dr. Shaw. She is the only person willing to stand her ground against him and his poisoned heart. Dr. Shaw and Oberon have a love/hate relationship. It was hard not to fall in love with their characters. The push and pull between them called for some of my favorite moments. Their banter and chemistry kept the book interesting. Both strong and determined they pushed each other's limits. Thea Harrison created a world and a power couple that was dynamic. A great read! **ARC provided for an honest review**
