Vas (The V Games, #3) by Ker Dukey
Review by Nancy Vas by Ker Dukey and K Webster is a sinful, all-consuming read! It is a dark romance that had me immersed in their world from the very first page. Vas is the third and final book in The V Games series. Although it can be read as a standalone, I do highly recommend reading the series in order. Vas, although born into a first family, is not privileged. Being a Volkov doesn't guarantee him anything, he has to work hard to rise to the top. Being accepted and respected was always a goal he worked hard to achieve. Although he showed a hard exterior, deep down he was a wonderful, caring man. Vas learned early on from his mother what kind of monster his father was, and what kind of man she wanted him to be. Protecting his family and the ones he loves was ingrained in his characteristics. When he meets Darya, his need to protect her was inevitable. Darya broke my heart. From the very beginning, her life was disastrous. She went from one monster to the next, never by choice. Despite all the hurt and suffering, she had faith. Faith that God was watching out for her. When she meets her dark angel, Vas, she feels an immense sense of security. She can finally breathe with him watching over her. But her feelings were not just those of feeling safe, she yearned for him like she had never yearned for a man before. This story is DARK and not for everyone. I, for one, have nothing but love for these authors and their writing. This book, just like all their others, is wonderful! It is a story about tragedy, acceptance and monstrous events. All in all a perfect dark romance. It is my absolute favorite book in the series! Without a doubt, one of my favorite reads from K. Webster and Ker Dukey. I can not wait to see what they have in store for us next, hopefully, some familiar characters! **ARC provided by the author for an honest review**
