Review by Leah Although I jumped in with both feet into this book not realizing that it is Book 13 in a series, it is so freaking good! Summoned to the Thirteenth Grave by Darynda Jones takes you on a trip you will never forget. It took me a bit to wrap my head around all the characters and who they were but each character has such a unique personality that I have fallen in LOVE with this book. Now I just need to go back and start from book one. Charlie “Grim Reaper” was exiled for over a hundred years for stepping in and saving a life. She would do it over and over again if needed. Charlie is full of adventure, not saying all her plans go as planned as that girl charges in like a bull in a china shop with everything she does. It took me a bit to figure out what the Grim Reaper part meant is this book since I hadn’t read in order but once I found out, I could not imagine knowing my life was for that reason. A reason that helps someone like that is heartwarming but also heart-wrenching. The part with her sister, Oh My Goodness! You about had me in tears. And then the end…. Really?!?! I have only read this one book in the series and I am freaking out on how this one ended. Reyes, wow, a man of very few words but all you need is his presence in this book to feel him. Just the power this book emits for Reyes is fantastic. Yes, I know who exactly Reyes is but Darynda Jones does an AMAZING job writing him. There are tons of characters in this book I am dying to find out about. I’m ready for a rainy day so that I can curl up and start this series from the start.
