Review by Nancy A delightfully captivating sports romance, The Pickup by Nikki Ash was absolutely heart melting! I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put the book down, Nikki Ash had me in a trance with this story. For as long as Nick could remember, football was his life. He had status and wealth, but that did nothing for him. He was always left feeling like he needed more. Trying to find love in a money hungry world was not easy. After giving up on love, he finally meets the one girl who might change his views on the matters of the heart. But when she leaves him with nothing but a note after their one night stand, Nick decides that love is just not in the cards for him. That is until his beautiful brown-eyed, one-night stand comes barreling back into his life. Olivia has always believed in fairy tales and happily ever afters. She always dreamed of finding her prince charming, having a family and living a happy life. After her long-term boyfriend leaves her heartbroken, she does not expect to feel an instant connection from a sinful one night stand. Scared of her instant feelings for him, she runs off without expecting to ever see him again. Little did she know she’d not only see him again but he’d be a constant in her life. What started off as a complete disaster turned into a beautiful love story. Nick and Olivia were so lovable, I couldn’t help but fall hard and fast for both of them. Both had faults and at times struggled to make their relationship work, but they were perfect for each other. The chemistry was undeniable! These two were meant for each other. I cannot believe how much this story sucked me in. I loved every word! Not only did Nikki Ash give us two amazing characters, she also gave us some very interesting side characters. I fell in love with them just as fast as I did with Nick and Olivia. I will be impatiently waiting for the next book in this series!! **ARC received in exchange for an honest review**
