Tinsel (Lark Cove, #4) by Devney Perry

Review by Nancy An all-consuming, heart melting, sweep you off your feet romance. Tinsel by Devney Perry is absolutely phenomenal! The fourth and final book in the Lark Cove series, Tinsel can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the entire series in order. You will love the book that much more! If you read any of the previous books then you went into this book like I did, strongly disliking Sofia Kendrick. Sofia has everything and anything she could possibly want. She is a princess and lives up to the name. Shallow and superficial, never really aspiring to do anything until her world gets turned on its axis. After her flaws are spread in a magazine for everyone to see, Sofia runs away to hide out in Lark Cove with her brother and sister-in-law, not knowing who she is or what she wants out of life. She is the definition of the saying— money doesn’t buy you happiness. I wasn’t sure there was a redeemable quality in Sofia but the more I read the more I felt for her. Little by little she won me over. I kept rooting for her to find happiness and live the life she was destined for. Dakota Magee, swoon, isn’t just the hot bartender in Lark Cove, he is so much more. I think I fell in love with Dakota the moment I started the book. Dakota is everything you would want in a partner— he is strong, hardworking, sweet and caring. Struggling with his family and the life they want him to live, he is torn between finding his happiness and making his family proud. Growing up in a reservation, there were certain expectations from him, like finding a wife from the reservation and not an outsider like Sofia. The woman he is currently stuck babysitting. Dakota had already disappointed his family once, the moment he walked out of the reservation. Was he willing to give up his family to chase a romance that might not even work? This book gave me all the feels! Dakota is probably my favorite hero in the Lark Cove series. He made this story come to life. Dakota and Sofia had so much going against them. This book is about two very different people fighting for a love they found in each other. A love that wasn’t defined by social status and different backgrounds. I rooted so hard for these two. I wanted to see them make a life together.and was so happy to see them find their happily ever after! Devney Perry did not miss a beat with this book. I am so sad to leave these characters but I am looking forward to re-reads in the near future! **ARC provided by the author for an honest review**
