Review by Leah Have you ever thought you would never be able to apologize for something you regretted saying? This is about almost losing that chance. Regret: Skulls Renegade by Elizabeth Knox is the second half of Pain, Chaos, and Maria. And Lord knows Pain and Chaos need to suck it up and make things right with Maria. She is good for them. But now Maria is kidnapped by Rafael and she is back in the arms of the devil. This whole series reminds me of watching a t.v series. I feel like there is so much more but we are left hanging until next week. I knew Maria was not in a good place but during the scenes when Maria was with Rafael I never thought anything “bad” happened but her staying there. Then the bomb dropped. Maria is one strong woman to have that happen and then not even bat an eyelash. Yes, she finally broke but I felt like I was missing just a bit more in the middle of the story. Yeah, it’s dark and I am not looking for the exact scenes just a little more emotion from Maria during her stay at Rafael's. After reading exactly what happened I am ready to read some of the torture scenes with Pain, Chaos, and Rafael. ** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **
