Entangled (The Accidental Billionaires, #2) by J.S. Scott
Review by Nancy A charming second chance romance, Entangled by J.S. Scott is the second book in The Accidental Billionaires series. It was a quick and likable story. A little implausible, but engaging nonetheless. Aiden and Skye were separated by circumstance. Skye was young when she first fell in love with Aiden. She grew up with very little but was happy to be beside him. When Aiden leaves on a work trip, she promises to wait for him. While Aiden is away, she is faced with some hard decisions about her future and her well-being. A missed letter and pressure from her mother push Skye to start a life with someone else. Aiden knew he loved Skye. He didn’t have much to offer her but he was determined to work hard and give her the world. Leaving for a fishing expedition was only temporary, he was coming home to Skye. He is completely shattered when he returns to find out not only had Skye left, but she has married someone else. Almost a decade later, Aiden and Skye must confront the reality of what happened all those years ago. There was a lot of hurt and misplaced feelings as well as anger and resentment. But, when they have to spend time together for the sake of someone they care about, the lingering feelings between them ignite once again. A story full of misunderstandings and miscommunications. One where two people lose very precious time together. I will say the only thing that had me hesitating is the fact that this storyline is unrealistic. I understand we are reading fiction, but I like my stories to feel like something I can see happening in real life. J.S. Scott is a wonderful author and her writing shows it, this storyline was just not my favorite. I am looking forward to the next installment in the series. ***ARC provided by the author for an honest review***
