Ember-Raine Winters won this round with a K/O. Doing it Rock Hard has a mixture of suspense, freaking angst out the wazoo. An alpha meets spitfire. Layla was written really well. I really enjoyed her character so much so that I really want to know her back story. It would be a bit dark but she has so many stinking layers. I just want to peel them back. She is a strong h that has learned the hard way to stand up for herself. And she does. There is one point where I was questioning her decision but I completely understood. Then, there is Mad “Max” Malone, good gravy Ember. He is just delish. If you like your men Alpha but still a gentleman that opens the car door for you, then Max is it. I love, love, love Max. Man, I was on the edge of my seat reading this book just waiting for these two to explode. The freaking sexual angst is so thick in this book you could cut it with a knife. No this is not a book full of sex scenes this is a book with depth. It has a great story line. I wish it did not end. I am ready for more of their story. ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review***
