Imperfect Match by Corinne Michaels, & Melanie Harlow
Review by Nancy A lively, light-hearted rom-com, Imperfect Match, is all consuming! Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow gave us such a delightful and playful read, that it had me grinning from ear to ear. You won't want to put this book down! It quickly became one of my favorite friends to lovers romance. Reid and Willow were best friends, neighbors and soon to be lovers. Apparently, everyone knew that Willow and Reid were meant to be except for the two of them. Willow wanted nothing more than to have a family. She craved motherhood and didn’t need a man to accomplish her dream of becoming a mother. Reid knew he never wanted to get married and definitely never wanted children. Their views on the future were on the opposite sides of the spectrum, but that didn't stop them from being the best of friends. But what happens when their friendship morphs into a relationship and they are faced with two different views on what they want for their future? This couple was lovable, witty and charming. Even when they struggled to go from friends to lovers, they were so endearing. I smiled through the entire book. Every couple goes through ups and downs, Willow and Reid were no exception. When they were faced with the realization that they had feelings for each other, far from those of just friends, they were scared and apprehensive. Was the idea of being together worth the possibility of losing each other for good? This book had so many laugh out loud moments. It was truly a refreshing read! It was the perfect amount of humor mixed with a little angst and a lot of romance. Everything about this story was engaging and captivating. I was sucked in from the very beginning and was glad to see the story develop and flow as flawless as it did. I hope we get some more novels from this duo! Absolutely impeccable! ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review***
