Trigger (Circle of Justice #1) by L.P. Dover

Review by: Alysia Trigger by LP Dover is a quick and easy read that grabs hold of you in chapter one and won't let go until you finish the last page! Preston's mom and sister were brutally murdered when he was fifteen. His father had taken him on a fishing trip and when they returned, they found Preston's mom and sister brutally murdered and raped. His father tried for many years to find their killer but was unsuccessful. Preston wouldn't let it go. He was determined to find the killer and make him pay for the lives he took all those years ago. While looking for the killer, he starts working for a secret FBI group that kills the most disgusting predators that somehow were given freedom by the justice system. Emma starts working for Preston's boss, Glenn, as his personal assistant. When Glenn has both Preston and Emma have dinner with him, Preston acts like he doesn't know Emma, when that's definitely not the case. They were in a band together in college. They were even close friends. Preston feels it's better for her if she doesn't have a relationship with him. Emma is determined to take down his walls and work her way into his heart, no matter the cost. Trigger is told in dual point-of-view and switches back and forth each chapter. LP Dover had me staying up until the wee hours of the morning to finish and find out who the killer was! ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review.***
