Review by Leah A million thank yous to Rina Kent for writing Shadow’s story! Shadow pops in randomly in the previous Team Zerobooks and you will fall in love him. You will also be dying to know his story and who was the one that got away. When you find out, it will have you hollering because it is perfect! It is a small world. Shadow and Zoe are just it for me. These two are my favorites of Team Zero. There are twists and turns and deceit that runs deep. A story of two broken people healing each other. They are each other’s light, warmth, and home. There were times where I wanted to yell at Zoe for things she was doing or for decisions she was making. I would not say Zoe is hard headed just hard-hearted. She has felt loss before and she does not want to ever feel that way again. So breaking down that brick wall they are both holding up takes some time. I can say that this book has me leaning a little into Team Mist side. I was not a fan of her at all but she proved herself in this book. She is not as cold and frigid as I thought. So will she end up with Hawk?? I don’t know. It had me thinking maybe crazy Scar will be with Hawk but I will be patient. Shadow and Zoe’s story is so full of love and hope. I thoroughly enjoyed it. ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review.***
