Free Fall (Fallen Duet #1) by Abigail Davies
Review by: Alysia Free Fall by Abigail Davies is a very quick read that grabs you at page one and doesn't let go until the end. Be warned though, this book ends in a cliffhanger. Brody is an undercover DEA agent put there to take down Hut, a sloppy drug dealer, that the DEA is unable to arrest due to lack of evidence. Hut has a younger step-sister, Lola, that Brody thinks may be his way in with the crew. Lola is working as many hours as possible so she can get her own place and not be living with her drug dealing, sociopathic brother, who, for some reason, believes that she belongs to him and won't let any mandate her. Brody’s team feels that Lola is his way to bring Hut down. The more he gets to know her, the more feelings he has for her and he doesn't want to hurt her that way. This book grabbed me and I had to know what happened! It is written in dual POV and just like many other books it bounces back and forth between chapters. I loved how well Abigail wrote each character, she showed their thoughts and feelings very well without it becoming messy. I also both loved and hated that there was a massive plot twist towards the end of the book. I can't wait to read the other half of Brody and Lola's story. ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review.***
