The Perfect Wife by J.P. Delaney

Review by Alysia The Perfect Wife by JP Delaney is about artificial intelligence and is scientific. Tim is a scientific engineer that is a difficult person to deal with and yet runs his own company and is very rich. Abbie is an artist that is very low key and is different in her own artistic way. She is also an avid surfer. Tim hires Abbie to be the artist of the office and they end up falling in love. They get married and have a son, Danny, who has a rare disease that at age four starts repressing his growth. Jump forward a few years and Abbie goes missing in a horrible surfing accident. Her body isn't found. Five years later, Tim creates a robot that is Abbie in every sense of the word. With a few tweaks, he makes her the perfect wife. As time goes on she feels like something isn't right and that she doesn't fit into this world. Tim is the one that uploads family home videos to help her remember. When she starts to remember things on her own, she questions how much is true of what Tim told her and if she can even believe him, and his series of events This book is full of twists and turns. It is a psychological thriller. The book is in Abbie's POV. The book also switches between the past (chapter one) and the present chapter 1) which was confusing at first but as time went on I started to figure it out. This book wasn't my favorite but only because I don't enjoy sci-fi type books. I did enjoy the thriller side of it though! ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review.***
