Hidden (The Scions #1) by Gemma Weir
Review by: Alysia Hidden by Gemma Weir is different then the normal MC books I read. I went into it thinking it would be an MC book like the norm. But it’s definitely not. It’s more bully to lover type. There were parts that I wasn’t fond of, but I think that is only because of the bully. Nova is the daughter of a member of a motorcycle club. To make sure that none of the other kids mess with her, her dad always dropped her and her brother, Zeke, off at school on the first day on the back of his motorcycle. Which unknown to him at the time, alienated her and her brother. She had to put this imaginary mask on every day that made her seem cold, and the typical mean girl, but if you really got to know her she was the opposite. Yet only her family sees the real her. She also deals with really bad anxiety, yet won’t tell anyone except Zeke because she is scared of being judged even more by her classmates and the town. Valentine is being fostered by Nova’s aunt and uncle. He meets the entire family at one time, which I think would really overwhelm someone. Anyway, one look at Nova and he seems to make it his life mission to ruin her. And he isn’t shy about telling and showing her this. During the entire book, except one chapter you are in Nova’s point of view. I liked the book but I’m not a fan of the bully type. I didn’t realize this was one until I got into it. Other than that I thoroughly loved the book. I want to read the next one just so I know how their story ends. **ARC provided for an honest review**
