Review by Lisa WOW, what a surprising story!! Treacherous by Alex Grayson and Melissa Toppe was nothing like I expected and everything that I absolutely enjoyed. This section from the synopsis comes close but doesn't fully do this book justice: But in a world of rumors, games, and deceit, you never really know who you can trust. Sometimes the best deceptions are the ones you never see coming. Rylee is enjoying and living up her Senior year of high school. That is until her mother elopes and moves Rylee to a new school with a Stepbrother from hell. She tries not to make waves but still ends up being bullied by someone she has to live with. This makes her transition into a new school anything but smooth.. Especially when her new stepbrother is one of the kings of the school. When the KING of the school so happens to be her stepbrother’s best friend, Zayden, things go from bad to worst. This is a must-read. There is so much to this story that I am afraid of giving anything away. Grayson and Toppe’s collaboration is spot on. Their writing is smooth and detailed and grabs your attention while leaving you wanting to more.
