Lucas (Preston Brothers, #1) by Jay McLean
Review by Lisa What a way to start a series. Lucas is book one in the Preston Brothers series by Jay McLean and I repeat, what a way to start a series. McLean has dropped the story bomb with this one. It has everything and so much more that you don't think would have in it. Each book title is the Preston brother that the story is centered around. First up is Lucas. I am assuming that you can read these at a standalone but I DO NOT recommend that at all. Lucas's story starts from the beginning. How the family is and their current state and wraps all the brothers up into the story ready to branch out on their own stories. So reading in order is very recommended. Lucas and Lois meet when Lois's dad begging to work for the Preston Company and at a young age Lucas and Lois are attached at the hip. But when feeling start to change and life around them starts to twist and turn, can friends stay friends? Can they make it work or will situations divide them? But this says it all It took only sixteen clicks and eight seconds for Lucas to realize that his like for Laney had turned into love. Eight life-changing seconds. It’s also the exact length of time it took to lose her. I don't want to give anything away, but there is just so much more deepness to this story than I thought. Nothing that you expect yet all that you expect if you're a fan of Jay McLean!!! I can't wait to read Logan books next!! So well written, left me wanting more. Can't wait to see where the Prestons brothers take us. **ARC received in exchange for an honest review***
