Unapologetically (Brighton Academy #4)
Review by Elizabeth Unapologetically by Cala Riley is my first Cala Riley book. Unapologetically can be read as a standalone but it would be beneficial to read the first three books so you aren’t lost. Being that I did not read the first three books I was a tad bit lost on who was who but I caught on pretty quick. Unapologetically is Tinsley and Finley’s book within the series. From what I gathered Tinsley and Finley have been dancing around each other for years to a point but Finley always pushed her away. I did find myself forcing myself to read certain parts of the book because my attention would be lost. But I would gain it back within a few pages. Tinsley tries to move on but apparently she is still caught up on Finley. While the story was decent and had its moments, I felt it was forced in some places. Now, do not get me wrong, Tinsley and Finley most definitely have chemistry, it just felt off in some places. However, once we learn more about Finley things start to make much more sense. I can say for certain that Tinsley and Finley are a great couple when Finley gets his act together. The only issue is Tinsley’s brothers. Overall, Unapologetically was a good read and I am looking forward to more by this author. I may go back and read the first three books so I have more of an understanding of Tinsley and Finley’s relationship. **ARC received in exchange for an honest review**
