Alarick (King's Descendants MC, #1)

Review by: Alysia Alarick by Bella Jewel is one of those books that bounce back and forth between the past and the present, giving you tidbits of information each time. You know something happened to ruin the relationships that Briella had with everyone and caused her to run away, but you don't know what exactly the cause was. Briella and her sister, Magnolia get new step-siblings, Alarick and Sissy, when their mom marries the president of an MC, King. King is the dad Briella never had. He treats her just like his own. Briella has had a crush on her older stepbrother for as long as she can remember, but he is seven years older than her. It isn't right. Alarick hasn't ever thought of Briella as a sister. She is so much more than that. But the age difference makes it illegal until she's eighteen. Briella has been gone for five years, but when her sister goes missing she must return home to find her before she can allow herself to get her brain tumor removed. When she is forced to go to the MC for help, it doesn't go well since she just up and left with no goodbye. When Briella comes back Alarick is very angry about it. Why would she have the nerve to come back when she left them without saying goodbye before? Will he help her find her sister? Will she tell him what happened all those years ago that made her leave? Will they put the past behind them and become what they always wanted? Bella Jewel does well at keeping you on the edge of your seat, wondering what happened to Magnolia, and what caused Briella to run away. WARNING: I feel like it ends in a cliffhanger. *ARC given in exchange for review*
