Painting the Lines (Ace of Hearts, #1) by Ashley R. King
Review by Lisa. Painting the Lines is book 1 in the Ace of Hearts series by Ashely King. I cannot believe this is Ashely's first novel being published and I can't wait to read the rest of the books she releases. This is was my first tennis sports romance with a side of rom-com story that I have read and loved it. The storyline and how it was mapped out and brought together is brilliant. A wonderfully written story that I just enjoyed from beginning to end. Amalie is at the crossroads of her life. After publishing a best seller story at the age of 19 she is now in a slump and just can't get the words on paper. But when she has one more shot to make a go at being a writer instead of a job she just does not want any part of, her life gives her a bit more than she was barging for. Julian was the next up and coming tennis superstar until he wasn't. When Amalie and Julian's paths cross at a bar and have one too many drinks (Julian), Amalie sees an opportunity and tries to make it a reality. But in the end, she just may get more than she wished for. From there we are taken on a swoon-worthy journey of these two broken/lost souls take together along with all the bumps and laughter along the way. ***ARC received in exchange for an honest review***
